BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Craigtoun Hospital, St Andrews

A multifacted head on a cube, on a lectern, on a pillar, all with numerous dials and set on three square steps. Craigtoun Maternity Hospital closed in 1992. Currently (June 2011), boarded up and empty, and the dial removed by the owners (Kohler Co od America) for safe keeping. Ref: letter from D Cowan, BSS Bull 23(ii) p 25.
