BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Tayside Region

The plinth is a plain octagonal pillar with moulded square base, about 7 ft high in all. The dial is a plain cube about 1.25 ft square with dials SE, SW, NE and NW. Sloping supports above bear a triangular prism with 9" faces, with dials S, NE and NW, and a ball finial. Ref: A R Somerville, Proc Soc Antiq Scot, 117, 1987, "The Ancient Sundials of Scotland".
