BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Geddes Quad, Dundee

A regular pentagonal dodecahedron, designed as a dial but the faces were never marked out. The base is engraved ’British Association, 1912’. The top now (2010) bears a brass equatorial dial. A R Somerville, The Ancient Sundials of Scotland,1990.
