BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Tayside Region

The dial stands on a cylindrical column about 4 ft high with upper collar and square base. Around the capstone is inscribed ’W. M. Douglas, Bridgetoun Esqr 1739’. It is a cubic block with faces about 1 x 1.25 ft, with vertical dials N, S, E and W, and a moulded cap and ball on top.
