Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Tayside Region

The dial stands on a beautifully decorated column on a cubic block carved with human figures, set on three spreading octagonal steps. It is said to have come from Coupar Angus Abbey dated 1760, but this would be after destruction of the Abbey at reformation. The dial is a plain cube with N, S, E and W faces each about 1 x 1.25 ft, and a ball finial. Ref: A R Somerville, Proc Soc Antiq Scot, 117, 1987, "The Ancient Sundials of Scotland".
