BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Strathclyde Region

The dial stands on an elaborately carved column about 5 ft high. It is a marble or sandstone cube about 1 ft square with four dials N, S, E and W, with numerals and lines visible, and copper gnomons present in good condition. Above are three lead figures supporting a ball. Ref: A R Somerville, Proc Soc Antiq Scot, 117, 1987, "The Ancient Sundials of Scotland".
