All Saints Parish Church, Harbury

On a buttress is a stone slab on which this dial has been carved and painted. Some traces of paint remain but the motto, which was painted but not engraved has almost disappeared. It used to read: "Tyme Flyeth. What doest thou?". Frost damage to stone has left the surface crumbling, The gnomon, which was once gilded, is loose. Size might be 275h x 300w. Has half hour marks with pock markers between indistinct numerals. Gnomon was once gilded. Dial may be slightly canted East. Restoration being considered (2000) following a bequest.
