BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Giles Church (1), Packwood

Not far away from Packwood House with its four sundials is Lapworth church. It has this dial, its stone set into the face of the tower stairway with chamfered edges in line with the staircase stonework. Across the top is the date ’MDCCXXX’. On the south wall of the church are three mass dials while in the churchyard is a cube sundial (SRN 3986), the memorial of the Ash family who lived at Packwood.
