BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

14 Church Lane, Middleton Cheney

This substantial pedimented dial plate is mounted on a house behind the church, supported on a pair of corbels. It has an open strip gnomon with an unususal tip, but the face is wrongly delineated, with numerals arranged as on a clock. The WI report gives the maker as ’A Cooke, Middleton Cheney’ but this is unconfirmed. The pediment may have initially borne an inscription.
