BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Castle Walk, Crail

The dial is on the Castle (or ’Coastal’) Walk between the Harbour and the Watch House. The dial plate, possibly just a ring of hour numerals, appears to have been ripped off, but the stout ferrous and rusty gnomon is still in place. Some numerals can be seen in the stonework, possibly carved after the hour ring was removed. Believed to have been removed from the harbour in 1883 and re-lettered in 1890.
