Dial in Hereford & Worcester

Set into the upper surface of the base of the mediaeval cross in the churchyard is a small (120mm square) brass horizontal dial bearing the date 1649 and the initials TM. It shows the hours IIII - VIII (using XII for noon) divided into halves. Concentric circles surround the gnomon root and a sun face appears at the South side of the dial plate. On the chancel wall is a mass dial.
