BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Market Cross, East Hagbourne

A classic cube dial, unfortunately weathered, in the centre of the village. The dial has three vertical faces (W, S and E) with good painted gnomons but no markings now visible on the faces. The dial cube has a ball finial and is mounted atop a tall, elegantly tapering market cross shaft, all on a massive five stepped base. Shown in Mee, Berkshire, and Wills Cigarette Card No 8.
