BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Parish Church, Swinbrook

Square vertical south-facing dial over the porch. The dialplate is a square stone with bevelled edges, supported on three dog irons. The dial has a full circle round the gnomon root from which the hour lines run to the rectangular chapter ring. There are also short half hour marks. The upright Arabic hour numerals span from 6am to 6pm. Across the top is the date: ’1706’. The flat iron plate gnomon has a small heart-shaped cut-out.
