BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is in the south garden of the Members House. It is a cuboid dial in pale green marble on a simple columnar sandstone pedestal, 1000h. Five dials, three gnomons. Inscription on the column reads: "Presented by Mrs Mary D Ferguson of Edinburgh". Hairline crack on top face extends one third way down the block. Second crack on N face. 7mm thick gnomon used on top face. Noon gap. Cross for Noon on S face. Shows hours, halves and quarters on most faces. S shows 61m to 6pm, W shows 1pm to 8pm, N shows 4-6am and 6-8pm (only in half hours) E shows 4am to 11am. Top dial unrecorded. KFH Mackay made recommendations for restoration in 2000.
