BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Harbour, Bridlington

The dial is above steps leading down to the harbour at the continuation of Prince Street. It stands on a yellow sandstone plinth, circular in section, and markedly bulging towards the base. The plinth bears a plaque with the inscription: ’This sundial has been erected to the memory of Lawrence of Arabia who as aircraftman Shaw served in the Royal Air Force in Bridlington between 1929 and 1935. T.E.Lawrence 1888 - 1935’ This is a duplicate report of SRN 6730.
