BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
Motto reads: ’Let others tell of storms and showers, I’ll only count your sunny hours’ and ’My time is in thy hand’. Gold lettering on slate with an elaborate limestone surround. Equation of Time table in recess at eye level below the dial. Shows 6am to 5pm in half and quarter hours. Inward lozenge ended half hour markers.
