BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is in the Mediterranean garden, near to Kew Palace. It was previously (eg in 2004) kept in store and not on public view but by 2007 was replaced in the open garden. The hours are marked on the sides of the cross, with EoT tables on the north side. The dial was engraved by H Routledge, and was presented to Kew by the maker C V Boys, who also made SRN 0598. The stone column was taken from the old Kew Bridge and was presented by Geo Hobbard FSA. The capital and base were supplied by the Office of Works.
