BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
On the lawn is a well executed bronze horizontal dial 300mm across, signed at the south ’N Witham Londini fecit’, and standing on a plinth with a square base. The plate is graduated down to periods of one minute and there is a compass rose in the centre. It was reported in Oct 2014 to be covered by a garden urn (since removed), with the original attractive gnomon mssing.
