BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Peter’s Church, Thorington

Stone sundial set into South wall of church. The time from 6am to 6pm is shown using Arabic numerals. Two lines drawn above the gnomon give a pedimented effect to the dial, with part of the date 15xx also visible above the gnomon origin. The modern gnomon is fitted with a single bolt holding a brass strip at the appropriate angle. The dialplate is badly cracked from around the gnomon root.
