BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dorney Court, Dorney

A circular bronze horizontal dial 360mm in diameter shows the hours IV - VIII undivided. The spidery numerals lie between concentric circles and there are no hour lines. The numerals are read from the outside except for XII and the letters N and S appear at the edges in line with the substyle. At the south side of the dial are the date 1983 and initials PP, DP and JMP representing the parents and presumably the donor of the dial. The pierced gnomon contains a representation of a pineapple which was first grown in England for Charles II.
