BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Water Hall, Chalfont St Peter

A decorative bronze vertical south dial is canted westward. At the top is the inscription ’Water Hall’ and below is the motto which has been read as ’Sola mea umbra et saepe’. It shows the hours 7am to 5pm divided into halves and quarters but has lines to 6am and 6pm as well.
