BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sundial Cottage (1), Scaldwell

Shows hours 7am to 6pm, hour lines only. Uses XII and IV. Darker blue chapter ’ring’ on lighter blue ground with gold numerals. Date centred at top. Large semicircular sunface at gnomon root. Date is that of house and dial may well be later.
