BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sundial Cottage, Richmond

Visible from the footpath beside the A308. The dial plate is probably in cast artificial stone, with all lettering and decoration in relief. The central area is painted blue, with a golden lion, a red rose, and black fleur-de-lys symbols. Across the top is ’Feare God, Obey ye King’. Aligned upright numerals VI - XII - IV - VI with hour lines to a small semicircle at the gnomon root, and no subdivisions. The gnomon is a black rod or narrow strip, with scrolled support strut.
