BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Strathclyde Region

The dial stands on an elegant stone plinth with leaf carving, bearing the date 1673 and monogram ’MCP’. It is a facetted block with north-sloping top with equatorial star; south-facing polar hemi-cylinder projecting down from top cusps of star; other surfaces flat or with various-shaped hollows including bowls and hearts; dials on all available surfaces.
