BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Dumfries & Galloway

The dial stands on an elegant carved plinth with leaf decoration below, bearing the arms of the Cuninghame family. This is mounted on a small cubic block and one wide square step. The dial is a facetted block about 2 ft high with north-sloping top with equatorial star; south-facing stepped polar hemi-cylinder; other surfaces flat or with various-shaped hollows including bowl (N, S, E, W), hearts (E, W), and triangles; all copper gnomons are present and patinated; dials on all available surfaces.
