BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Grampian Region

The dial is set diagonally on a six-stepped plinth about 2 ft high, the steps widening progressively from 1 ft to 2.5 ft square at the base. It is a facetted block with north-sloping top with equatorial star (elongated north to south); south-facing polar hemi-cylinder projecting down from top cusps of star; its sides cut away top and bottom; other surfaces flat or with various-shaped hollows including large bowls with bar gnomons (east and west), squares; dials on all available surfaces.
