BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Castle Fraser [NTS], Craigearn

Multiple lectern, no star. Small facetted block with N sloping top and equatorial dial (no star), S facing stepped polarhemi-cylinder. Other faces flat or with hollows. Dials on all available surfaces. All gnomons restored by G Higgs 1989. Dial brought to castle relatively recently. Set on octagonal granite pillar 3-4 ft high on round step. Castle Fraser is just South of the hamlet Craigearn though its postal address is Inverurie. Ref: A R Somerville, Proc Soc Antiq Scot, 117, 1987, "The Ancient Sundials of Scotland", p19 (B6).
