BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial stands in front of the house on the village green. Shaft: 5 square panels on each side, initials on top panel & date on bottom, hollows with dials; Boss: Standard type - hollows & verticals on octagonal band, corners cut out, dials on vertical, inclining & reclining surfaces; Finial: 6 panels on each side. No metal gnomons remain. Initials on shaft panel: DHM - Dame Helen Maxwell; SCC - Sir Colin Campbell. Date looks as if 1696 has been changed to 1626 at some time. Boss & Finial are out by 90 degrees with respect to the shaft. 6 - 8 ft high, set on 4 square stone steps.
