BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Central Region

This obelisk dial is 6-7 ft high. The shaft has four panels on each side, mostly hollows with dials. On the north side are two blank panels but with no inscriptions. The boss is standard, with all verticals on the octagonal band, the corners cut out, and dials on the reclining and inclining surfaces. The finial has three panels on each side and a fourth broken at the top. Ref: A R Somerville, Proc Soc Antiq Scot, 117, 1987, "The Ancient Sundials of Scotland", p13 (A14).
