BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Strathclyde Region

This is the boss only of an obelisk dial, set in a walled garden on a table with Ionic decoration above an elegant vase-shaped plinth with acanthus leaf decoration and twisted ribs. The boss is standard, with no hollows on the octagonal band, corners cut out, hollows and flat dials on the reclining and inclining surfaces.
