BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Strathclyde Region

The dial is a shaft only. It has four panels on each side, with hollows and verticals. There is a rampant lion on the north side, though damaged. The metal gnomons are missing. It was originally at Baillie’s Hall at Kilwinning Abbey. Ref: A R Somerville, Proc Soc Antiq Scot, 117, 1987, "The Ancient Sundials of Scotland", p10 (A11).
