BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Grampian Region

The dial stands some 6 ft high on a square base. In 1990 it was not yet in its permanent position. The shaft has four square panels on each side with hollows, hearts etc and verticals showing Babylonian, Planetary and Italian hours. The boss is standard with an octagonal band with four cup hollows (the south one shows declination lines); corners cut out, polar dial on the south reclining face. The finial has four panels on each side giving the time in New York, Chicago, Hong Kong and Tokyo. There are inscriptions with dedication, Equation of Time, Coats of Arms. There are 35 dials in all.
