BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Central Region

The dial stands on a low stone plinth set in a rockery. It is of the ’boss only’ pointed type: the upper and lower facets meet at a point, alternating with four hollows with traces of gnomons. It was formerly at Gartness Castle. Ref: A R Somerville, Proc Soc Antiq Scot, 117, 1987, "The Ancient Sundials of Scotland", p9 (A10).
