BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lothian Region

This is an unusual obelisk boss only, standing 2 ft high on a cylindrical stone plinth. The lower corners are not cut out and there is a cup hollow on the polar face of the south side. Ref: A R Somerville, Proc Soc Antiq Scot, 117, 1987, "The Ancient Sundials of Scotland", p9 (A10).
