BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lothian Region

The shaft has five squre panels on each side with many sinkings with dials, some vertical. The boss is standard with an octagonal central band, hollows on the cardinal faces, corners cut out, reclining and inclining dials on sloping surfaces. The finial has seven panels on each side, some stumps of gnomons, and a bent iron rod protruding from the top. The whole is set on three square steps, each at 45° to the one below.
