BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The recently renovated dial is located over the south door. The motto across the top reads: ’Lucem Demonstrat Umbra’ and across the centre of the dial face in large characters is ’IHS XP’. Shows 9am to 3pm in hours. Hour lines drawn to gnomon root. Inter numeral dots do not show half hours. Replaced a clock which in turn replaced an earlier dial to be seen in an engraving in the Merchant Adventurers’ Hall, Fossgate. Ref: Henslow ’Ye Sundial Booke’, Foyle Ltd, London, 1935, p280 .
