BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Michael & All Angels Church, Haworth

The dial is on the south wall of the tower and has the inscription "Mr Richard Pollard of Stanbury gave it to this church 1726". At the base is written: "Restored in the year of our Lord 2001". Horseshoe shaped time ring in white edged black with black bands top and bottom housing the Inscriptions in white. Uses XII and IIII. Shows 6am to 6pm in half and quarter hours. Black white edged circle at gnomon root. Simple gold bar gnomon and supporter. The tower is all that remains of the church as it was in the Brontës’ day. All the Brontës, except Anne, are buried in a vault near the present altar. Anne is buried at Scarborough.
