BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

Roman numerals with increments every 5 and 15 minutes; aligned with hour lines. Gnomon 150 mm wide, style 265 mm long. The broken gnomon was sympathetically repaired in the mid 1990s. Dial plate worn down and some numbers illegible; gnomon is partially bent. Mounted on boulder c. 1m high. Stone marker in front reads “A.D. 2000, Rydal, Millennium Garden.
