BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Charles Court, Burneside. In crescent of houses, Kendal

Shows 6am to 6pm in half hours. Inside of time ring is painted white rest black. Numbers now barely distinguishable. Arrow head gnomon with arrow pointing down. Probably built for adjacent Cropper’s Paper Mill. Plaque refers. Used in the past as a climbing frame by local children! Seen but not reported on by RS 2006.
