BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Saviour’s Church, St Saviour

The dial is mounted over the door of the south porch. It sits on a projecting corbel, with shaped concrete backing allowing it to be heavily canted out on the rhs. The plate is a thick rectangular stone slab with curved cut-outs at the lower corners. The semicircular dial is inscribed in the top section of the plate. The gnomon is formed by a bent iron rod, fixed at both ends. Roman numerals in ’Gothic’ script for 6am to 6pm with IIII for 4.
