BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Forest School, Forest

Circular gold coloured dialplate on a square backing which may be canted slightly east to face south. Thin sheet gnomon which may be pierced. No split substyle. Time scales in three rings. Outer two only show hours and half hours. Patterned semicircle at gnomon root. Date in large numerals above horizon line. The extension was built 1902 so if the date is correct the dial must originally have been on another site.
