BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Meubred’s Church, Cardinham

On the south wall of the church, this simple and practical dial is deeply engraved so that it has withstood the ravages of time very well since it was placed there in 1739. The gnomon has lost its tip and what remains may not be long enough to reach the hour scale in winter. The Wardens, I Batte and W Coppin must have been proud to have their names on it. It shows VI to VI divided into halves and quarters.
