BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sts Protus & Hyacinth’s Church, Blisland

The dial is mounted on the left side of the south porch and leans slightly forward. The rustic angel adds charm and interest to an otherwise plain sundial. The rather odd iron gnomon is probably a replacement since it is not shown in Mrs Crowley’s 1961 sketch. The dial shows 6am to 6pm in half and quarter hours. Uses XII and IIII. Christopher Lean may have made the dial but he might equally well have been the donor or simply the churchwarden at the time the dial was installed.
