BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial dates from the first half of the 18th century. Aligned Roman numerals read from outside use IIII - XII - VIII. An outer ring is divided to single minutes, numbered (in Arabic) in 10s with diamond 5s. Half hours are marked with fleurs-de-lys. At the north is: ’Thos Eayre Kettering’ in cursive script. The dial may have been purchased by Eayre in London to accompany one of his clocks. It is recessed into the top of a large bulbous baluster pedestal with circular top and one step base, on the south east side of the lawn.
