BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St James’ Church, Avebury

The dial is on the south wall of the church, east of the south porch, and about 3500 above ground level. Shows 6am to 6pm in hours. Uses XII for Noon. Semicircle around root. Dial probably painted originally. Cement patch near gnomon support. The gnomon has a wavy rain-release end.
