BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Parish Church, Horne

On the south wall. Circular chapter ring with trumpeting angels in top spandrels, a skull and crossed bones in the lower right, the lower left having disintegrated. Between the left spandrels ’JOHN’, and between the right, ’HARDY’, assumed to be a church warden, but might have been the maker. In the top section of the chapter ring a date, probably 1800. At the centre, a sunburst. Aligned numerals VII - XII - III. IX to III read from outside, VII and VIII am read from inside, the afternoon hours not legible. The report of 1981 noted the gnomon at the wrong angle; by 2005 it is missing.
