BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St James’ Church, Castle Bytham

The dial is on the south face of the tower. It shows 7am to 5pm, in whole hours only. The motto was indecipherable in 1983 but is reputed to have read: "Bee in Thyme". There is an ornate single gnomon support.
