BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

This is a cross dial with horizontal, equinoctial and two scaphes. Shows 3am to 8pm in 30 and 15 mins. Double dot half hour marks. Big sandstone chip missing from the top of the base. Dial was 180 degs out of alignment in 1991. Date may be mid 17xx.
