BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Powys

This fine dial plate stands on an octagonal baluster-shaped sandstone pillar on a rough stone circular base, with steps. The top edge of the stone is damaged but the date appears, facing south. The dial is inscribed with the name of a Shropshire maker. It has one minute intervals on the outer ring, the minutes numbered every 10. There are six inner rings with different markings, which need further study. An inscription ’PECLIN IN CH’ is just about decipherable. The fine gnomon is broken at the top.
