BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

All Souls College, Oxford

This elaborate circular dial on the south wall of the Codrington library declines 13° East It shows the hours VI - V divided into halves, quarters and intervals of one minute by means of transversals. It was moved from its original site on the chapel wall in 1899. The dial was designed by Christopher Wren in 1659 and the coat of arms of the college is set in the centre. It has the motto, ’Pereunt et Imputantur’ (They [the hours] pass away and are reckoned - a quotation from Martial).
